I can`t get no sleep…..

…sorry, dass ich momentan so auf Tauchstation bin, aber irgendwie kommt der Schlaf aktuell etwas zu kurz. Nachdem ich das Wochenende quasi durchgehend im OP verbracht habe…thank god I survived….geht mein Dauerdienst weiter. Hoffe das nächste Wochenende wird etwas ruhiger, so dass ich endlich mal ausgiebig von meinen spannenden Erlebnissen in Kapstadt berichten kann. Bis dahin alles Liebe!

I can`get no sleep

….not because I worry so much (too exhausted for that), but with being in the OR literally 24/7 at the weekend, sleep was definitely coming short. More on calls for me this week, but fingers crossed that next weekend will be better! I hope I find time to tell you all about my exciting stay in Cape Town!

So, meine Lieben, ich bin raus! Zumindest für die nächsten drei Wochen, denn ich habe Urlaub :-). Heute geht es los nach Kapstadt. War zuletzt 2003 für ein paar Monate dort und freu mich wie Bolle, dass ich morgen wieder hin fliege. Bin gespannt was sich alles verändert hat! Werde auch in der Klinik vorbeischauen, habe damals in der Herz- und Thoraxchirurgie am Grotte Schuur Hospital famuliert. Werde euch auf jeden Fall über meine Erlebnisse auf dem Laufenden halten. Bis dahin!

I`m off…at least for three weeks, as I´m going on holidays :-). I´m  flying to Cape Town later in the day. The last time I´ve been there was back in 2003, when I did an elective in the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Groote Schuur Hospital. Of course I will be visiting the Department to see what has changed in the last 12 years. Stay tuned as I will be reporting from time to time.
